Hisense launches new line of affordable 4K HDR TVs

New 65in M5500 and K5510 models available for less than £1,000

Hisense has expanded its 4K HDR TV range to include a new 65in set retailing for a tempting £900.

The new Ultra HD-resolution silver M5500 and black K5510 models, says Hisense, 'boast a spec sheet that belies their modest price tag'. Both feature Freeview HD tuners and integrated 4K clients for YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Video streaming, plus BBC iPlayer. Smart device integration comes via the brand's Anyview Cast and Anyview Stream technologies.

Support for external Ultra HD/4K sources is delivered by two HDMI 2.0a inputs with HDCP 2.2 (there are two more additional HDMI inputs). Other hookups include a trio of USB ports for media playback and recording (one USB 3.0), Ethernet and Wi-Fi (with DLNA file playback), plus an optical digital audio output for sound system integration and a headphone jack.

'With a 4K UHD screen resolution, the M5500 and K5510 produce an incredible visual performance, with stunning colours, incredible detail and crystal clear clarity,' says the TV corp. Upscaling tech caters for Full HD and standard-def sources.

Hisense is also proud of the TVs' audio abilities. Total Technology 'audio enhancements' from third-party sonic noodlers DBX-TV work to manage frequency response, bass impact and 3D sound from the onboard twin speaker array.

The sets are available to buy now for £899 at AO.com.
