A single-enclosure system, the Soundbar+ features eight drivers/passive radiators arranged in a stereo config, in conjunction with a claimed 120W of onboard power.

New to the model is Dolby Atmos bistreaming decoding. While there are no physical upfiring drivers, advanced DSP aims to deliver a 'wider, higher, and more enveloping soundstage.'

Also upgraded is the soundbar's processing engine, which is now driven by a custom-specified quad-core ARM chipset which is rated at '8 times faster' than previous Bluesound generations.

The Pulse Soundbar+ can be partnered with Bluesound's wireless Pulse Flex 2i speakers (£300) in a multichannel home cinema system, with the optional Sub+ (£750) adding authentic LFE.

Physical connections include HDMI eARC, optical digital audio, USB and analogue RCA. Additionally, you can stream audio to the 'bar via two-way Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2, or Bluesound's BluOS multiroom streaming platform (hi-res and MQA-compatible), which also provides app control and EQ.

Like its Pulse Soundbar 2i predecessor, the Soundbar+ is designed for use with largescreen TVs thanks to a chassis that reaches 1.07m wide. Styling is broadly similar, although a new feature is a front-panel offering play, pause and volume controls.

The Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+ is supplied with a bracket for wall-mounting and kickstand feet for use on an AV stand. It will be available in April, priced £800 in black or £900 in white.
