A live-action reboot of the 1970s anime series, this has a whiff of Battlestar: Galactica about it - but that's no bad thing. Manga's BD hurtles along at a relentless pace, with the impressive VFX shining through on the 2.40:1 HD encode. A thunderous DTS-HD MA 5.1 mix completes a tasty package.
