Sky launches ReWatch, bringing boxset library to all its TV customers
Dubbed 'ReWatch', the new feature, says Sky, 'is designed to help ease boredom and offer some escapism while the country is still in lockdown.'
The launch is in three stages. Starting from today viewers will be able to dig into Sky Comedy and Sky Originals collections, the former including 30 Rock, Entourage and Parks and Recreation, the latter split into Drama (including Chernobyl, Britannia, and Riviera) and Comedy (including Breeders, Intelligence and Brassic Season 2).
Tomorrow (May 8) it is adding the entire run of award-winning show Game of Thrones, and then from May 18 the satcaster will add a US Boxsets collection, including the likes of The Sopranos, The Wire, Billions, The Affair and Boardwalk Empire.
ReWatch is available on Sky+, Sky Q and Sky Go to all Sky customers with a basic TV subscription – apart from those on its Essential broadband/Freeview package.
Says Sky: 'With a wide variety of content available, customers can enjoy the very best of what Sky has to offer, without making a single change to their subscription, with over 100 boxsets and 2000 hours of content available.'
Further on-demand content will be made available from the Sky History, Sky Nature and Sky Documentaries channels once they have launched later in May.
