REL revamps Serie T subwoofers to give them X factor

In launching its new Serie T/x subwoofers, REL says it has 'reimagined, then re-engineered' its outgoing Serie T models, bringing performance and design improvements to its popular mid-range offering.

The new lineup comprises three subs: the flagship T/9x, and step-down T/7x and T/5x. All feature a new cabinet architecture derived from REL's premium Serie S, plus upgrades to their Class A/B amplifiers and driver suspensions.

Says REL: 'Serie T/x is instantly seen as crisper, fresher, and better. Our goals were not simply to improve upon its illustrious predecessor, but to deliver as much as possible of our latest Serie S on a budget.'

All three models feature front-firing FibreAlloy drivers, plus REL's traditional high-level Neutrik Speakon connection in addition to low-level stereo/LFE. For wireless hookups, the subs support REL's optional Arrow system.

Finish options for the Serie T/x are piano black or high gloss white. Both the T/9x and T/7x complement their 10in and 8in drivers respectively with a 10in down-firing passive radiator.

The only Serie T model remaining in REL's lineup is the Tzero MKIII, a £349 model (with downfiring 6.5in woofer) designed for compact setups.
