LG begins UK rollout of 2020 OLED and NanoCell TVs

Following their CES 2020 unveil, LG has finally confirmed UK release dates and pricing for its new OLED and NanoCell LCD TVs, with some arriving in stores this week.

Across its 2020 range, OLED models will come in sizes from 48in to 88in, and NanoCell LCD sets at 49in to 86in. Suggested pricing begins at £900 for the 49in 49NANO81 LCD, and reaches a peak of £40,000 for the brand's 88in 8K OLED flagship, the OLED88ZX.

The first wave of TVs launched this week, comprising 4K 55in and 65in NanoCell models from the NANO91 and NANO90 series, and the 49in 4K NANO86 model.

From April 6, LG's hotly anticipated new 4K OLED models will start rolling out, beginning with the GX 'Gallery' Series and CX Series. Pricing is:

OLED55GX: £2,300
OLED55CX: £1,800
OLED65GX: £3,500
OLED65CX: £2,800

The following week, the brand's 'wallpaper' WX model (OLED65WX) will launch priced £4,500.

Those with an eye on LG's 8K OLED screens will have to wait until May 11 for the release of the 88in ZX TV, and May 25 for the 77in OLED77ZX. The 48in CX Series model is also scheduled for a May 11 release, priced £1,500.

8K NanoCell models begin rollout April 20, and continue until the scheduled launch of the 55in 55NANO95 on November 2, priced £2,000.

LG is branding its 8K models as 'Real 8K', and all will wear the Consumer Technology Association's '8K UHD' badge.
