Sky hit Mare of Easttown debuts on digital platforms, Blu-ray release still TBA

Following Sunday's broadcast of its final episode on HBO in the US (Monday via Sky Atlantic in the UK), the hit crime drama Mare of Easttown is now available to own digitally from 'all major platforms'.

The seven-part limited series starring Kate Winslet as a smalltown police detective has aired weekly since April 18, earning plaudits from critics for its mixture of murder mystery and detailed character study.

Mare of Easttown is now available to download – either as a full series or individual episodes – from VOD services including Amazon Prime Video, iTunes and Google Play Store.

The show, which is tipped for success at this year's Emmy Awards, has yet to be confirmed for a Blu-ray release in either the US or the UK – although does have it listed for a September 20 release in Scandinavian markets through distributor SF Studios.

It's likely a UK disc release will come from HBO stablemate Warner Bros, although that wasn't the case with fellow HBO limited series Chernobyl, which was picked up for Blu-ray by Acorn Media.
