Denon unleashes AVR-X6200W AV receiver

Supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, promises 'blockbusting 3D sound'

Denon has annoucned a new network AV receiver designed for 'the most demanding home cinema enthusiast'. Part of the company's 2015 AVR X Series, the AVR-X6200W will retail for £1,800 and comes peppered with tasty features.

Promising 'blockbusting 3D sound', this nine-channel receiver offers Dolby Atmos decoding, can be upgraded to Auro-3D and will support the incoming DTS:X format. And as with all new Denon AVRs, the X-6200W carriess 4K/Ultra HD support and HDCP 2.2 capability on all its (in this case, eight) HDMI inputs. Three HDMI outputs, plus Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, grant system flexibility. 

Additional features include Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room equalization, 11.2-channel processing (so you can use the receiver with an additional two-channel power amp for 7.1.4 speaker arrays), 4K upscaling, ISF calibration controls, Apple AirPlay, 'net radio and Spotify Connect, and hi-res audio playback.

The AVR-X6200W will be available in October from your Denon dealer, in silver and black finishes.
